The system works with a closed loop control that optimizes gaps and flushness of the parts to the body. The BestFit-data is exchanged with the supervising control system and stored in a database. The BestFit system is able to learn out of these collected data to follow trends of the production. So the system is training itself and increasing quality with every step for mounting of the next part.
The advantages are perfect gaps and flushness due to BestFit plus
economical advantages as the amount of manual adjustments
can be reduced towards zero.
Furthermore, the production controlling system can directly schedule different configurations through the system, for example individual preloading of the doors for installation of different speaker systems in the final assembly.
The basic platform for this innovative technology are the EDAG own developed and produced sensors “EDAG VarioGauge V4” and unique algorithms.
