EDAG VisionSystems
The active developments in the field of vision systems at EDAG are based on customer demands which were uprising in the 1990ies.
Driven by turnkey body shop project, EDAG successfully developed production solutions based on camera systems with
highly sophisticated image processing abilities.

According these know-how intensive demands, EDAG build up a team of hardware and software engineers. Now,
EDAG is able to develop the unique knowledge and products that fit the customers demands and maintain
all equipment directly and efficient. All in one hand.

At the beginning was a vision. Driven by the revolutionary idea of automated and rework free mounting of hang on parts,
EDAG went to many stages of pioneering in this field of science.

To on the way of realizing this vision, developments and inventions were made that led to several solutions by the use of vision systems.

EDAG ADA – Automatic Defrost Analysis
Defrost analysis system of the cars ventilating system. In use at all major car manufacturers in Germany

EDAG TPC – Total-Presence-Check
Presence check of parts in assemblies, identification of part contours and analysis and checking of sealer and adhesive application

EDAG RGS – Robot-Guiding-Systems
The camera guided system that optimizes quality for riveting, nut welding, stud welding, piercing and several more robotic applications

Finally, the vision became reality by introduction of the “BestFit Assembly System”
