A decision was made during the extraordinary general meeting of EDAG Engineering + Design AG on 14.12.2007 to alter the company's the legal form, making it an association limited by shares. This change will be entered in the companies register on 11th January 2008.
The company will now operate as EDAG GmbH & Co. KGaA.
The company's main office will continue to be in Fulda. Dr. Klaus Blickle, CEO, will continue to direct the company. In addition, Dr. Jürgen Böhm has also been appointed to the Executive Board as COO. The Members of the Group Executive Board will continue their work unchanged in spite of the company’s change of legal form.
For EDAG, the company's change of legal form represents a logical step, following the takeover in February 2006 by ATON GmbH, as the sole shareholder.
Founded in 1969, the company is today one of the world's largest
partners to the international mobility industry. At over 30 sites
across the globe, and with 5,000 employees, the EDAG Group provides
the development of vehicles and production facilities, through to
implementation in plant construction and low-volume production.
EDAG focuses on the automotive and aviation industries as well as
on other partners from the international mobility industry, and had
a turnover of over € 650 million in the 2007 business year.
